About us
CEPRU in a joint initiative between The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) and Imperial College London (Imperial), established to harness the complementary strengths of both institutions in cancer epidemiology, biostatistics, cancer biology, and genetics.
The Unit brings together a critical mass of researchers from Imperial’s School of Public Health and the ICR’s world-leading cancer research teams. CEPRU was founded in November 2020 (Prof. Elio Riboli, Founding Director) and is led by Professor Marc Gunter and Professor Montserrat Garcia-Closas as CEPRU co-Directors at Imperial and ICR respectively, and Professor Amy Berrington (ICR) and Dr Alicia Heath (Imperial).
